This was well-crafted with rich characters, a surprisingly well-balanced mix of the erotic and sinister, and a stunning murder plot woven into every one of their lives. For those who like a whodunit with a twist, this is a definite must read. ” Charissa

This past week at Aspen Mountain Press two releases help us remember the World War II era.  The first, No Apologies by J.M. Snyder, takes us back to the weekend of December 7th, 1941 and the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  Two men on the U.S.S. Oklahoma cross an invisible boundary line when a stolen kiss in a drunken moment leads to unexpected tensions.  Can their friendship be restored before the Japanese obliterate Battleship Row?

Josh Lanyon’s Snowball in  Hell has us reliving the glory days of Hollywood complete with rationing stamps and chickory coffee.  Lt. Mathew Spain is called to investigate the murder of one of Hollywood’s elite and the journalist following the case looks like the prime suspect.

Nathan Doyle is struggling with his homosexuality.  He’s sought help from professionals but the stress is becoming too much.  Trysts carried out in a wooded park are becoming dangerous and he feels he’s losing his mind.  Especially when his mind keeps going back to a sexy investigator who could in no way be interested in him that way.

Now the problem is surviving long enough to find the murderer.

No Apologies
