About Us
Erotic interludes, romance of all genres, spine tingling thrillers, twisting mysteries...Aspen Mountain Press offers quality electronic stories known as downloads for readers; stories that allow authors to push to the edges of their creativity and beyond; stories that take readers to other worlds where they can escape from the pressures of life as we know it.
Aspen Mountain Press opened its doors in July of 2006 and continues to grow and improve. Currently we have eight editors and an editorial director. We average two releases a week and during the winter holidays had as many as four a week. Last year (2009) our revenue grew by nearly 45%. We expect growth in the e-book sector to continue as more and more people are exposed to the idea of hand-held reading devices.
Recently my youngest son noted the passing of a large music distribution company. They closed their record store doors all over the country. Why? The demise of the record store occurred because they didn’t take advantage of the new technology available, namely IPods.
The book community is headed the same direction. More and more New York City print houses are including electronic rights in their contracts. Die hard book readers don’t believe books will go the way of the vinyl record, eight-track or CDs. They want to feel the weight of the book in their hand, smell and turn the pages.
Yet even these committed readers can’t deny the allure of a machine that allows them to carry eight to fifty books around with them at a time with the ease of a single paperback. Nor can they deny the cutting edge, quality writing available to them years before New York print houses catch the trend. Electronic books are here to stay and so are we.
So, sit back, surf our site, discover the worlds of erotic romance, mystery, science fiction and other popular genres.
